Fundraising Ideas

Sports is always a hit, have a small basketball competition with a 3-player team each side. You could consider a similar tournament with football, field hockey, etc. Examples-

Five a side match: Try out something new, or else just organise a local five a side with all teams paying an entry fee or getting sponsored for doing a 3 hour long game.

Sponsored penalty shoot-out: Get competitive, and organise a penalty shoot-out competition with your club and all members. Charge entry for UNICEF, get local businesses to support it. You could make this a fundraiser to support our “NetResult” campaign, where each entry fee is the cost of a mosquito net to send to Africa – a net for a net.

Sponsored three-point throwing competition: Raise funds for malaria by organising a 3-point shooting competition. Entry fee for all members of each local club or team is the price of one net to send to Africa.

Organise a Tournament: If you are playing a tournament anyway, why not charge spectators at the final and raise funds for UNICEF.

Golf green fees: Organise with your club that green fees for one day go to UNICEF. Or organise a driving range challenge where all entry fees of ball fees go to UNICEF for one day.

Organise a gym fundraiser: Get sponsored for a lift-a-thon or in-gym class marathon as a fundraiser. Alternatively do a triathlon at the gym with everyone sponsored for UNICEF. Sponsorship forms are available.

Boat race: A boat race is a great idea of doing something different to raise funds; it will be on a slightly different scale. Check if the local boat club will give you rowboats for the competition.
