Obelisk Group, a Cavan based company founded in 1996 specialising in the Telecommunications industry, and more recently expanding into the Renewable Energy sector, have signed a three year commitment to UNICEF Ireland. Obelisk, a multiple award winning company who just last year claimed the ‘Best Company to Work For in the North East’ has pledged to raise €75,000 for the world's poorest children over the next three years. Any money raised by the employees will be matched by the company cent for cent.
Managing Director Padraig Brady spoke about the commitment by the company and its employees to UNICEF Ireland; “We were inspired by the work of UNICEF but more so by the children across the world who show such endless courage" he said. "We are thankful to all our employees for helping us raise this money, as well as supporting such a worthy cause. To us this is about helping children who are unable to receive the support every child deserves. It is about building on our social corporate responsibility by giving something back”.
