Door To Door Team Leader

Job Title: Door to Door Team Leader
Reports to: Door to Door ROI Direct Dialogue Manager
Liaises with: Direct Dialogue Team, Dublin Fundraising Department

Job Location: Based in Dublin Office (fundraising at various locations throughout Ireland)
Contract Details: Permanent 5 month contract. You will be required to work 40 hours per week scheduled between the hours of 10am - 9pm. Monday to Friday.

Salary: Hourly Rate of €15

Job Purpose: To assist the Individuals Giving Team achieve its fundraising targets for Regular Giving, and provide UNICEF with funds to carry out Relief and Development work in countries of operation.

Main duties & Responsibilities:

  • Targets: responsible for achieving Door to Door targets through fundraising, motivation and coaching, while ensuring team’s compliance with UNICEF policies and codes of practice. Monitoring completed forms for accuracy and errors.
  • Fundraiser Development: Improving fundraiser’s performance and development in consultation with ROI Door to Door Project Manager.
  • Information: represent Door to Door and attend relevant campaign briefings and trainings, in order to be up-to-date with developments within UNICEF. Keep informed with UNICEF’s website and updates. Pass on this information and training as requested by management, to ensure fundraisers deliver UNICEF’s messages appropriately.
  • Training: In consultation with ROI Door to Door Project Manager organising and delivering training, workshops and briefings to ensure new and current staff can develop to be successful in achieving their fundraising targets.
  • Phone Support: providing accurate phone support on individual, team and site issues throughout the day. Engaging in positive discussion to achieve staff development and fundraising targets.
  • Discipline: conducting appropriate day-to-day discipline of staff in consultation with ROI Door to Door Project Manager. Escalating any serious disciplinary issues to ROI Door to Door Project Manager for appropriate action. All disciplinary action must be carried out in line with UNICEF’s procedures.
  • Staff Reviews: providing support to ROI Door to Door Project Manager to prepare for staff reviews. Participating in reviews as requested by management.
  • Awareness: dealing with special enquiries and difficult situations with members of the public. Keeping good awareness of the site and team to ensure, to the best of your ability, the safety of the fundraising team.
  • Preparation & Reports responsible to prepare adequately in advance of fundraising day and site sensitivities. Completing administration and office reports at end of day.
  • Procedures: at all times adhering to UNICEF’s procedures, and UNICEF’s Staff Code of Conduct. Fundraising: fundraising and other relevant duties, as requested by the ROI Door to Door Project Manager.

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent motivation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of, and commitment to the vision, mission and values of UNICEF .
  • Ability to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Previous staff management experience.
  • Good organisational ability

Desirable:

  • Previous fundraising experience.
  • Proven success in fundraising
  • Competent in the use of modern information technology applications.
  • Full clean drivers license

Door To Door Fundraiser

Job Title: Door to Door Fundraiser
Reports to: Door to Door Team Leader

Job Location: Based in Dublin Office (fundraising at various locations throughout Ireland)
Contract Details: Fulltime position. You will be required to work 35 hours per week scheduled between the hours of 11am-9pm. Monday to Friday.

Salary: Hourly Rate of €12

Job Purpose: To assist the Individuals Giving Team achieve its fundraising targets for Regular Giving, and provide UNICEF with funds to carry out Relief and Development work in countries of operation.

Main duties & Responsibilities:

  • Targets: To set up at target number of regular donors by direct debit between members of the public and UNICEF through door to door fundraising in various locations around Ireland.
  • Training: Talking to the public about UNICEF’s work in a passionate, clear and truthful manner. Using the ‘approach’ as explained in training and in coaching sessions ensuring we use appropriate fundraising techniques that conform with our standards of practice
  • Awareness: Behaving in a professional and courteous manner at all times, as you are the public face of UNICEF. Never knowingly bringing UNICEF or any other charity into disrepute. Portraying UNICEF’s work in a positive and enthusiastic manner at all times.
  • Information Informing the donor that we are paid fundraisers employed by UNICEF, during the conversation and before they fill in the form, as instructed in training.
  • Travel: You may be required to be available to travel for a few days a week. In some cases this may include overnight stays.
  • Procedures: at all times adhering to UNICEF’s procedures, and UNICEF’s Staff Code of Conduct
  • Fundraising: fundraising and other relevant duties, as requested by the ROI Door to Door Team Leader and direct dialogue manager.
