When you give to UNICEF, your support often starts in Copenhagen, where since 1962 our supply and logistics hub has operated around the clock to ensure life-saving supplies reach the children who need them most – quickly and efficiently.
This includes life-saving food like RUTF (ready-to-use therapeutic food) – a game-changer in the fight against child malnutrition.
This peanut-based paste, rich in essential vitamins and minerals, can bring a child back from the brink of starvation in just weeks.
It requires no cooking, water, or refrigeration, making it ideal for conflict zones like Sudan or Gaza. Children can eat it straight from the packet, and they like the taste.
Every year UNICEF secures 80% of the world’s RUTF – enough to treat 3.6 million children annually. In Sudan alone, we provide 95% of the supply.
But our work doesn’t stop there. From our global supply hub in Copenhagen, UNICEF’s logistics team works day and night to ship life-saving supplies anywhere in the world within 72 hours – even to the most remote or war-torn regions.

In Sudan too mothers are fighting to keep their children from starving to death. While in Syria, 7.5 million children need urgent aid after years of conflict.
