CRH Supporting Children in Ukraine

UNICEF has a strong presence in Ukraine with 130 specialists on the ground for 25 years and we are well placed to respond across the country. We are also deploying surge teams of humanitarian specialists to Poland, Moldova, Romania and Slovakia over the coming days.

UNICEF is also working across eastern Ukraine to scale up programmes for children. This includes trucking safe water to conflict-affected areas; prepositioning health, hygiene, and emergency education supplies as close as possible to communities near the line of contact; and working with municipalities to ensure there is immediate help for children and families in need. UNICEF-supported mobile teams are also providing psychological care to traumatised children.

UNICEF is working to deliver life-saving support to children in Ukraine. Please donate to Ukraine now and help protect children living in conflict.

Xenia, 34 years old, and her son Marc, 2 years old. “We left Odesa at 6 AM in the morning. We heard the sounds of the explosions and we were scared, so we decided to leave. My husband brought us to the border, I don’t where is him now. He doesn’t answer anymore. I am terrified.”
