COVID-19 Crisis in India

Right now, India is being hit by a rapid and deadly surge in coronavirus cases.

The death toll has surpassed 200,000, while the total number of infections has risen above 17 million. Over 300,000 new cases have been reported on a daily basis.

The situation is now desperate.

Hospitals and health centres across the country are collapsing under the tsunami of new cases, with hospital beds, essential drugs and oxygen running out, even in large towns and cities.

Patients are being turned away from hospitals and medical centres. Many return home to die without any medical help. Desperate families are battling to find care or source oxygen cylinders to help treat or comfort their loved ones at home. They are in urgent need of help.

We need to act now.

With cases rising exponentially, many more people will die if we do not send urgent help. Children could be left without their families if we do not reach them in time.
