The ongoing humanitarian crisis in Sudan is threatening the lives of children all across the country. Escalating conflict is putting families in danger and forcing them from their homes in search of safety. 

Right now, more than 15.8 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance, including more than 8.5 million children. Supplies of food, clean water and medicines are running low, while hospitals and schools remain closed or inaccessible.

Humanitarian Crisis in Sudan

The recent violence has only compounded the misery faced by millions of children in Sudan. Years of inflation and economic collapse have driven food prices sky-high, while climate change has caused crops to fail.

As a result, Sudan has one of the highest rates of child malnutrition in the world, with more than 3 million children suffering from acute malnutrition of which 610,000 are suffering from Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM).
