At just 12 years old, Kediga knows how important clean water is for her family. Living in Berehale refugee camp, she helps her mother care for her younger siblings and collect water for their daily needs.

Every morning, Kediga arrives early at the water point, waiting to fill her 20-litre container before carrying it home.

“Water is basic for life. We can’t cook or clean without water, and we must drink water to live,” she says.
