UNICEF upholds child rights across the world, helping children like 9-year-old Janna from the Philippines access education, healthcare, and opportunity.

Who we are: child rights since 1946

At UNICEF, since our founding, we have always put children at the heart of our work.

These efforts are shaped by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which ensures we can do whatever it takes to help children survive, thrive, and fulfill their potential.

Before, during, and after humanitarian emergencies, UNICEF staff work with children’s dignity, value and potential as a guiding light.
