Mujahid's Road to Recovery

At just 20 months old, Mujahid has already faced so much.  

After fleeing conflict in Sudan with his mother, Aziza, he arrived at a displacement camp severely malnourished, following days of vomiting and diarrhoea. 

Thankfully, community health workers identified Mujahid and referred him to a UNICEF-supported nutrition programme, where he began receiving life-saving treatment, including therapeutic food. 

“He didn’t eat much when we arrived,” his mother shared. “He would just cry but his appetite is now increasing.” 

Thanks to a gift like this, Mujahid is slowly recovering, one small step at a time.
