Chahana, 13 : ‘I felt the ground shaking’| #NepalEarthquake

“We’re all living in this camp. I just hope nothing happens to my family.” Chahana, 13, shares the challenges of life in a Kathmandu camp built after the devastation of Nepal’s magnitude-7.9 earthquake. She is one of 1.7 million children affected by the environmental disaster.

The #‎NepalEarthquake flattened more than 130,000 homes and left 3 million people in need of food assistance. Some 24,000 people are currently staying in 13 camps in Kathmandu.
