At UNICEF we work with some of the most vulnerable and at-risk children throughout the world. Our mission is to work with families, communities and governments in more than 190 countries to ensure that children are protected from disease, war, famine and danger.
With the support of people like you, we work to deliver long-term aid strategies, which will make a lasting difference to the lives of children and their families.
When you sign up to give a monthly donation to UNICEF, you are making the amazing decision to become a Global Parent. You are joining a community of people who are providing for, protecting and defending the world’s most vulnerable children. And together, we will work to make sure every child has a fair chance in life.
Every day around the world children are facing threats of violence, persecution, hunger and disease. Malnutrition is still the leading cause of death for children under five globally. It kills more than 3 million children every year – that is one child every 10 seconds.
By becoming a Global Parent, you’ll help us achieve our mandate and ensure that no child goes without food, clean water, medicine, education or warm clothing.
Children living in places like Yemen, where a brutal conflict is destroying their lives and their homes, children are dying because they do not have enough food to eat.
Right now, there are over 400,000 children in Yemen suffering from severe acute malnutrition. This is a life-threatening condition that needs urgent treatment. Without treatment, severe acute malnutrition causes children’s bodies to shut down and they become even more vulnerable to disease and illness.
With the support of Global Parents, children in Yemen are being reached with life-saving support. Global Parents are on the ground saving children’s lives.
They are helping provide emergency nutritional supplies such as Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), therapeutic milk and high-energy biscuits, which are helping bring Yemeni children back from the brink of death.
A donation of just €21 a month helps provide enough life-saving therapeutic food to reach 21 children suffering from severe acute malnutrition every month.
Over the last 20 years, Global Parents have already helped reduce the number of malnourished children in half – this is an amazing achievement! We want you to be part of this type of progress for children, and to join our fight for every child’s right to a fair chance in life.
The decision you make today will save children’s lives. Please join us and sign up to make a monthly donation today and help make the world a safer place for every child.
