Annual Events for UNICEF Ireland
Events are a great way for our supporters to help us generate crucial funding, and at the same time have a little fun in the process.
Each year UNICEF Ireland holds two major fundraising Lunches. These are the Corporate Christmas Lunch, which is held in early December, and the Mother’s Day Lunch, which is held in March. The events allow us to demonstrate UNICEF’s hard work and achievements. There are regularly special guests of honour, wonderful prizes and most importantly, great company!
The Corporate Christmas Lunch has been held at the InterContinental hotel in Dublin the last few years and 2016 will mark its 16th year running. The event will host guests from the Business and Corporate Community. All proceeds going to UNICEF programmes for children in over 190 countries around the world. Bring your colleagues, business associates or clients out for a fun day and to support UNICEFs great work throughout the world.
The Annual Mother’s Day Lunch is well-marked on Dublin’s social calendar, and allows us to make a real difference for children. 2017 will mark the event’s 20th Anniversary. Proceeds from our Mother’s Day Lunch will go towards our Safe Motherhood Programmes. These programmes provide lifesaving assistance to the most vulnerable mothers and babies around the world. Previously, we have had the renowned TV personality and journalist Anne Doyle as the MC. We’ve also had the rugby star and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Donncha O’Callaghan as guest of honour. Actress and humanitarian Mia Farrow has sent in a wonderful video message to all of our attendees in support of the work that UNICEF does. The event concludes with prize draw and a fashion show for the guests to enjoy. Join UNICEF for a fun day of fashion, socializing and winning fabulous prizes all while supporting women and mothers throughout the world.
