Global Issues

GLOBAL ISSUES– The most pressing global issues facing our planet are being addressed through the Sustainable Development Goals, also known as the Global Goals. These are 17 Goals to end hunger, poverty and inequality, provide education, healthcare and justice and ensure our planet becomes cleaner and more sustainable for all. Children have the right to directly engage in achieving the Global Goal targets, in terms of claiming their rights now, as children, as well as preparing themselves to take on more complex responsibilities as they grow older. A child who is 8 years old in 2020 will attain adulthood by 2030. These lessons will help teach young people about their rights, the world they live in and how they can respond to the challenges both locally and globally.
