Support children where need is greatest and strengthen your business through purpose

Champion for Children is a membership programme for Irish SMEs that want to make a meaningful difference for children while delivering value for their customers, employees and brand.

By becoming a Champion for Children, your business provides flexible funding to UNICEF’s Children’s Emergency Fund, enabling rapid, life‑saving support for children affected by conflict, climate emergencies and humanitarian crises around the world.

This is a simple, credible way for companies to stand for children, demonstrate social responsibility and be part of a trusted global response when it matters most.

Why it matters

When emergencies happen, children cannot wait. Every year, millions of children lose access to healthcare, clean water, nutrition, education and safety because of conflict, climate shocks and disasters. Your business can help meet urgent needs quickly, credibly and with real measurable impact.

By becoming a Champion for Children, your company will contribute to the Children’s Emergency Fund (CEF).  This fund allows UNICEF to:

– Act immediately when a crisis breaks

– Reach children before situations worsen

– Respond where the need is greatest, even when emergencies are under‑reported

– Scale responses quickly as crises evolve

The Children’s Emergency Fund is one of the most effective tools UNICEF has to save and protect children’s lives. Support from Champion for Children members ensures this fund is ready, resourced and responsive — every day of the year.

PMIS has supported UNICEF for years because their work for children in emergencies is urgent, essential, and lifesaving. Becoming a Champion for Children formalised that commitment in a way that truly reflects our company values. No child should suffer because of where they are born. Individually our impact may be small, but together, it is life changing.
