Our child rights strategy

UNICEF works in Ireland to embed children’s rights within policy frameworks, engaging with governments and civil society to ensure that laws, budgets, and public systems uphold the well‑being of young people. Through mainstreaming the principles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, UNICEF supports the development and enforcement of child‑centred legislation and capacity‑building initiatives

We help drive child‑friendly reforms, like enhanced social services, while giving children and youth meaningful voices in decision‑making.
