A critical 1,000 says in Sudan
"I was very scared Baraa was going to die," his mother says. "He was sick and malnourished. I thought he would die that day."
She brought Baraa to a UNICEF-supported hospital where he received lifesaving treatment during his first 1,000 days – the most critical time for a child’s development.
"My dream is to see him grow up, go to kindergarten, and become a doctor or teacher," she says.
