UNICEF is providing children in Gaza like these young boys with food and warm clothes.
Winter crisis in Gaza – children need help now
At least six children have died in Gaza this winter due to heavy rainfall, strong winds and plummeting temperatures.
Among them was seven-year-old Ata, who drowned in the flooded, makeshift camp that he called home.
He leaves behind several young siblings. The loss of their brother is the second major tragedy they have endured: they are still mourning the death of their mum, who was killed during the war.
Right now Ata’s siblings and over one million other children are barely surviving in their cold, rain-soaked tents, exposed to floods and disease. Many are injured, and thousands are malnourished. The deadly cold will only make their hunger more acute.
And without immediate help, the crisis will get even worse. Last year, several babies died from hypothermia, their mums waking in the night to find their children blue and no longer breathing.
Thanks to our supporters, UNICEF teams are on the ground now delivering life-saving blankets, food, and clean water, but the crisis is worsening. These children are weak, hungry, and terrified as the floods rise and shelters collapse.
We cannot protect them without you. Your support today can provide the emergency clothes, blankets and warmth needed to keep a child alive. Please, act now before another life is lost.

Your support today can save lives in Gaza
Despite the ceasefire, families in Gaza remain trapped in a deadly cycle of conflict and extreme scarcity. Violence has not stopped. The number of children killed since the ceasefire began continues to grow. And now with the floods, cold and disease that comes with a severe winter, children are at even greater risk.
Thanks to people like you, UNICEF is reaching these children today.
In recent months, UNICEF distributed 22,408 pallets of essential supplies across Gaza, including over 134,000 winter clothing kits, 572,000 blankets, and 5,000 family tents. 92,500 people were also given life-saving digital cash assistance.
But the crisis continues to threaten children and so much more is needed.
Your support today can mean the difference between life and death. With your help, we can reach more cold and hungry children before it’s too late, delivering the warm clothes, food and protection they urgently need to survive.
Please act now. Gaza’s children cannot wait.

Malak and her daughter Rowan need your help now
UNICEF staff are working on the ground in Gaza now
10-year-old Rowan and her sister Toulin, 5, live in the rubble of a destroyed mosque, terrified each day that it will collapse on top of them. But they have no choice: they have nowhere else to go.
They sleep on wet, cold mattresses. Rowan has a hearing disability. Toulin, suffers from retinal damage.
Like thousands of other children in Gaza, they are cold, hungry, traumatized by years of war, and in desperate need of aid.
UNICEF has been helping children across Gaza for decades, and our staff on the ground will not give up on them now.
When you support UNICEF, you help send warm clothes to cold children and food to starving families. You can be the difference between life and death.
