Venezuela earthquake emergency appeal
On June 24, two powerful earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 struck northern Venezuela, causing widespread devastation. Homes have crumbled. Communities have been torn apart. Hundreds have lost their lives, and thousands more are injured, many still trapped without help.
An estimated 1.8 million people, 680,000 of them children, now urgently need humanitarian aid.
Right now, children are injured, in shock and traumatised. They have lost their homes, their schools and even their families, but they cannot lose their future.
Every moment counts. Children need clean water, food, and medical care now.

Right now, UNICEF teams are working around the clock to provide children and their families with emergency supplies.
We are working under challenging conditions, with already strained healthcare systems, and fragile and damaged water infrastructure excarbating the situation.
However, we are determined to reach every child in need, and we won’t stop until every child is helped.
